嘉宾介绍：Mr.Curtin有在四个大洲从事运营管理的经验，涵盖了物流、金融分析、农用化学品及科技行业。他也是一位经验丰富的演说家和辩论教练，曾经主持过TEDx炉边谈话，这周日将在深圳TEDx福田进行演讲分享，游历了75个国家的他决定回到深圳，以生动独特的视角来看待现代社会的问题。

Sharing topic introduction:

​Technology saves us time. But does your tech save you time? In the last few years we have become overwhelmed with tech solutions for problems we don't personally have. We've become trapped in the mindset of needing to buy the latest instead of fulfilling our own needs. Our attention and time have become as valuable commodities as our money in some cases.

Greg Curtin will show you the hidden costs of not tailoring your tech. With a background in operations management across four continents, he'll give example from the logistics, financial, chemical, and technology industry as to how individuals and companies can better utilize their resources. His talk will help you understand how to go abou understanding your tech needs and then how to solve them. With everyone having different preferences and demands from work and hobbies alike, each person should come away with his/her own solution.

Speaker introduction:

Mr. Curtin is a public speaker and debate coach with a professional background spanning many industries. His global perspective is a refreshing take on the world. Starting in America he ran his own pizza kitchen, worked warehousing for IKEA and did financial analysis with Bloomberg. After studying finance at the Vienna Business School and the London School of Economics and Political Science he became involved in Europe’s entertainment industry. He also won a rugby national championship in Austria’s Bundesliga with RC Donau. Next was Asia where he found work in education, materials science, agrochemicals, and even a position assisting a wing chun kung fu master. In Africa he spent years in the hospitality and logistics industries before returning to China to work in consumer electronics. These experiences allowed him to understand the principles that became the cornerstones of his talk. He’s inspired many audiences around the world with his talks on campuses, at conferences, on cruise ships, and in boardrooms. After visiting 75 countries he has chosen to come back to China and currently lives here in Shenzhen. He’s a member of local rugby team, improv group and the host of the Shenzhen debates group, Big Debates. He’s passionate to share his lifestyle, various interests and world view with a shameless abandon.
